Alessi's Programma 8, created in 1970 by architects Franco Sargiani and Eija Helander, represents one of the most avant-garde domestic systems in Italian design. This rare service set, combining 18/10 stainless steel and clear crystal, embodies the functional philosophy of the 70s and is beautifully preserved. Alessandro Mendini himself described it as "the most advanced domestic system ever created on an international scale."

Alessi "Programme 8" antipasti dish, vintage 70s – Sargiani & Helander
Rare vintage "Programme 8" serving/antipasti set, designed in 1970 by architects Franco Sargiani and Eija Helander for Alessi. An iconic piece that Alessandro Mendini described in 1979 as "the most advanced domestic system ever realized on an international scale." The set comprises:
a- Modular rectangular tray in 18/10 polished/satin stainless steel.
b-4 Modular rectangular containers in clear crystal, ideal for serving antipasti, sauces, snacks or finger food.

Period: 1970s (Original design from 70)
Condition: Excellent vintage condition, the steel retains its shine and the containers are intact without chips (only one of the trays has a 3-4 mm chip on the edge), there are some light scratches from use on the bottom).
