Story & Heritage

This Omega is the kind of watch that tells more than time — it carries history. During the First World War, wristwatches became essential tools for officers and soldiers, offering a practical advantage over traditional pocket watches. These early trench watches often used high-quality mechanical movements placed in silver cases with wire lugs, creating a new form of timepiece that would later define the modern wristwatch.

Omega was already one of Switzerland’s most respected watchmakers at the beginning of the 20th century, known for precision, reliability and strong mechanical construction. A piece like this reflects that early reputation, with a signed Swiss Omega movement and a design created for function, legibility and endurance.

The oversized Arabic numerals, red military 24-hour scale, small seconds and blued hands give this watch a powerful period look. The aged dial and solid silver case make it not only a collectible Omega, but also a small historical object — a rare survivor from the era when the wristwatch became a serious instrument of modern life.

A beautiful opportunity for collectors of early Omega watches, military timepieces and historically important wristwatches.
