The Fragments cabinet by APTUM represents a bold fusion of geometric minimalism and prestigious Dutch craftsmanship. Designed as a prototype zero for Dutch Design Week 2022, this monumental piece combines solid European oak and polished brass to create a distinctive piece of furniture where light becomes a design element.

Sharp and slender shapes in brass.

“Fragments” is a surprising synergy of contrasting materials — light, dark, and reflective.

This illuminated cabinet is one of a kind! Created for the presentation at the 'Kazerne' during Dutch Design Week and Salone del Mobile 2022.
Due to high labor and material costs, it was decided after this very well-crafted zero model not to incorporate the design into the collection.
Therefore, this model is now for sale on Catawiki.
(A zero model is the model made for the production models, but after the prototype phase.)

Unfortunately, we don't have better photos of the cabinet. It was positioned against a dark wall during the exhibition, making it difficult to see exactly what it looks like.
A photo of the manufacturing process is therefore attached; for the first test, it was mounted against a temporary wooden wall.
The cabinet is assembled using a metal system and fixed to the wall. This makes it very stable.
Collection only from our studio in Eindhoven, Netherlands. When you collect it, we will explain how to assemble the cabinet.
We can also install the cabinet for you, anywhere in the country: the Netherlands, Northern Belgium, or Western Germany. (Max 250 km from Eindhoven.) Costs depend on the distance and will be discussed.
The cabinet does not need to be directly near an electrical point, but it is convenient for the power cable.
Optionally, an LED dimmer can be added. (€35 supplement)
