Security, Expertise & Authenticity
Each seller is carefully selected and responsible for the authenticity of their works. Verifications and supporting documents (certificates, provenance) may be requested for flagship pieces.
We ask sellers to provide supporting documents (certificates, history, etc.) and work with experts (gallery owners, antique dealers) to assess the authenticity of major pieces.
Our experts are recognized professionals – art historians, mid-century furniture specialists and experts in designer lighting – thus ensuring a rigorous evaluation.
If a seller has a certificate of authenticity or detailed provenance, they will provide it to the buyer. The Auctionlab ensures the correct transmission of these documents, but the validity remains the responsibility of the seller.
A Murano vase is hand-blown in Venice, often featuring colorful patterns or gilding. Authenticity is verified through documents or references provided by the seller.

Delivery & After-Sales Service
Many sellers offer international shipping. Delivery times vary depending on the destination, carrier, and nature of the part.
Sellers use suitable materials (hard shells, bubbles, foams, etc.) and call on packaging specialists to ensure the protection of parts during transport.
If there is any problem, please contact the seller and our customer service immediately with photos. We will intervene if necessary to help you get a refund or compensation.
The possibility of return depends on the conditions set by each seller. We advise you to check this information before any purchase.

The AuctionLab selects its sellers with rigor in order to guarantee an exclusive and authentic offer. We collaborate exclusively with qualified professionals, such as merchants, galleries and antique dealers, who have an established presence in the field of designer furniture and exceptional objects.
Our selection criteria include several aspects:
- Experience and seniority: We favor sellers with long-term professional activity and proven expertise.
- Reliability and transparency: Membership in professional unions, chambers of commerce or specialist associations is a sign of seriousness.
- Physical and digital presence: A physical showroom, boutique or gallery demonstrates a lasting professional commitment.
- Reputation and customer reviews: We take into account buyer feedback and online reviews.
- Careful selection of objects: Each item must meet our standards of authenticity, condition and relevance to our catalog.
The Auctionlab receives a commission on the sale, the rate of which varies depending on the category of item and the volume of sales. Publication or promotion fees may also apply.
The initial price or estimate is set by the seller, sometimes supplemented by an expert opinion. The final decision is up to the seller based on the market, condition and rarity of the item.

Design, Trends & Investment
Leading designers include Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, Arne Jacobsen and Harry Bertoia. This style is characterized by clean lines, the use of quality materials and great functionality.
To create an elegant contrast, focus on a strong vintage element (armchair, light fixture, sculpture) and combine it with a contemporary decor by playing on colors and materials.
We are seeing the return of the mid-century, the attraction to natural materials (wood, marble, ceramics) and the search for exclusive pieces signed by renowned designers. 70s lighting and Murano glass are particularly popular.
Investing in contemporary art or rare lithographs can offer potential appreciation, bring a touch of elegance to your interior and support artistic creation.
Commitment & Values
By promoting the purchase of second-hand designer furniture and vintage art objects, The Auctionlab helps to extend the life of parts and reduce waste, while educating sellers and buyers about the value of existing assets.
News & Developments
We are continuously working on improving the user experience, expanding the selection (new categories, emerging artists) and organizing events to bring sellers and buyers closer together.
