An authentic and honest example of a mid-century Omega, showcasing the renowned Calibre 30T2. Produced at the height of World War II, this reference 2383-5 testifies to the durability and precision for which Omega is famous. This piece remains in its original condition, as is, making it a perfect addition for the purist collector.
Status report
• Case: Stainless steel case in good vintage condition. Shows signs of wear consistent with age (scratches/dents) but retains clean lines.
• Index/Display: Original "tropical" cream-colored dial with a beautiful aged patina. Features a classic minimalist track and a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock.
• Movement: High-quality Omega Caliber 30T2 PC (15 jewels). Serial number 10.470.232, dated around 1944. The movement is clean and in current working order (service history unknown, recommended for daily use).
• Crown Needles: Original leaf-shaped needles with aged luminescence. The crown is a compliant later-period replacement.
• Glass: Acrylic, in good condition with slight surface marks.
• Bracelet: Equipped with a new aftermarket brown leather strap with alligator grain.
