« A design seemingly made of one piece » (DesignPlus panel, 1999).

Original iconic Alessi Coban RS 04 espresso machine by Richard Sapper.

A unique piece in this condition is hardly to find. Fully checked and ready to use.

The dimensions of the Alessi Coban RS04 are approximately 35 cm (14 inches) in width and 23 to 28 cm (11 inches) in depth. The height is about 25 cm (10 inches) up to the main body, reaching a maximum of 43 cm including the protruding water tank at the top.

Very good condition, some usual signs of wear and tear.

Sapper used the name Coban to refer to a little town in Guatemala, in the middle of the coffee growing region that produces one of the best coffees in the world. His grandfather was a coffee planter there, and his father was born there.

The Coban espresso machine embodies the perfect combination of form and function: the parts of an espresso – coffee beans and clear water – are presented in two pedestals and are connected by a connecting belt to form an excellent product.

The machine as a whole is in good condition, given its age with some usual signs of wear and tear. No major visible defects.

– Removable water tank
– Pre-heat display
– Grinding level settings to set the level of fineness
– Frother to froth the milk
– Drip sieve and removable drip tray
