A bold contemporary M’rirt rug combining traditional Moroccan knotting with a distinctly modernist composition.
The warm camel field is interrupted by carefully positioned black elements: a textured central rectangle, a strong L-shaped border and groups of fine parallel lines. The asymmetrical arrangement gives the rug the appearance of an abstract painting, while the restricted palette keeps the overall result elegant and easy to style.
The black central panel is enriched with small irregular cream accents, adding a second level of detail when viewed up close. Around it, the deep and densely knotted pile reveals the quality for which rugs from the M’rirt region are particularly appreciated.
Made by hand from natural sheep’s wool, this substantial rug offers a soft feel, excellent density and a luxurious presence. Its almost square format is perfectly proportioned for a lounge, reading area or contemporary open-plan interior.
