Introduction
Offered here is an elegant vintage Omega De Ville Ref. 511.0504, powered by the slim hand-wound Omega Calibre 625.
With its refined rectangular gold-tone case, minimalist two-hand dial and classic black leather strap, this De Ville perfectly reflects the understated dress-watch design for which Omega became well known during the 1970s. Its slim profile of approximately 5.9 mm makes it especially elegant on the wrist.
Historical & Collector Value
The Omega De Ville line became an important part of the brand’s dress-watch collection, combining restrained Swiss design with compact and technically refined mechanical movements.
This example is powered by Calibre 625, introduced by Omega in 1973 as the successor to Calibre 620. It is a particularly slim 17-jewel manual-winding movement measuring only approximately 2.5 mm in height.
Based on the reference, movement and period design, this watch can be dated to approximately the mid-1970s, circa 1973–1977, with comparable Ref. 511.0504 examples commonly associated with around 1975.
Its rectangular case, gold dial and simple two-hand configuration give it a distinctive vintage character that is increasingly appreciated by collectors of classic Omega dress watches.
