Rareince vintage pendant lamp by Staff Leuchten, Germany, 1970s. Designed with a cylindrical brushed metal shade and a heavy clear glass diffuser with a striking bubble/lens structure. A beautiful Space Age design with a very atmospheric light effect.
The lamp features a sleek cylindrical brushed metal upper shade, combined with a heavy transparent glass diffuser. The glass is vertically ribbed around the sides and has a remarkable pattern of round optical lenses on the underside, often referred to as “bubble glass”. This creates a beautiful light refraction and a warm, atmospheric glow when lit.

This type of design is often attributed to Rolf Krüger for Staff Leuchten. The combination of brushed metal, thick textured glass and compact cylindrical form is highly representative of German Space Age lighting from the 1970s.
